DIACONATE ORDINATION
We are happy to announce that Mathew Abraham, our deacon candidate for St. Angela Merici, will be ordained here at St. Angela Church this Saturday, June 21 at 11:00AM. We extend our congratulations to him and eagerly anticipate his ministry. We invite the entire Parish to attend his ordination. This is a unique opportunity to witness an ordination right here in our own parish and a wonderful occasion to bring your children to experience this special celebration. EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION
You are invited to come and join us for a Sunrise Eucharistic Procession on Sunday, June 22, the feast of Corpus Christi. We will begin with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 6:00AM, with the Eucharistic Procession starting at 6:45AM. We are praying for our family, especially our children during this procession with songs and reciting the rosary.
BLOOD DRIVE
You have the opportunity to save someone's life. The Knights of Columbus in conjunction with the Gulf Coast Blood Center is holding a blood drive on Sunday, June 22 in the PLC from 9:00AM-1:30PM. More details and a sign-up link can be found by HERE. All walk-ins are welcome!
COLLEGE STUDENTS GATHERING
We are thrilled to invite you to a "Singles" College Students' Gathering, an event designed for both current and future college students. The purpose of this gathering is, to provide a welcoming space for you to connect with other college-aged individuals, to discuss how to remain faithful to God's will while navigating your college years, and to explore resources your college may offer to support your spiritual life. This event is being hosted by Father John, in collaboration with the Office of Adult Faith Formation and the parish vocations ministry. The gathering is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM in the SAM room. A light dinner will be provided, so we ask that you register by clicking HERE.

PARISH FALL FESTIVAL
Our Parish Festival will be on October 4 from 12:00-3:00PM. We will have food, games, popcorn, sno-cones, raffles and much more! I It will be a fun, family event. If you are interested in sponsoring or volunteering, please click HERE. We will have our first planning meeting June 26 at 6:30PM in the admin conference room! Looking for at least 10 enthusiastic parishioners to make this event fun for the whole family! This will be taking the place of our annual Parish Gala so please volunteer to help make this a successful event.
ST. THOMAS FEAST DAY
Join us Saturday, July 12 at 9:00 AM for Mass to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Thomas the Apostle, the Patron Saint of India. The Indian Community of St. Angela Merici would like to invite the parish community to the 6th Annual St. Thomas the Apostle's Feast Day. The music and clothing will reflect our Indian heritage and there will be a reception with Indian snacks afterward at the PLC. Please come share in this colorful celebration!
MEN'S ACTS RETREAT
The Men's ACTS Retreat weekend is a time to disconnect from the world, to focus on our faith, renew our relationship with Jesus and dive deeper into what it means to be a Catholic man today. The ACTS Retreat is presented by men of St. Angela’s Parish, just like you, who have a desire to grow closer to God. It is an opportunity for fellowship in our faith and to strengthen our parish community. You must be at least 21 years old to attend. The retreat will be held at Holy Name Passionist Retreat Center in Houston. The dates are Sept. 25th-28th, 2025. We will gather and depart as a group from St. Angela's PLC, transportation will be provided and included in the cost. The cost of the weekend is $280 for a private room and all meals are included. This will fill up quickly, and we'll be accepting registrations on a first come - first serve basis. Register using the link HERE.
JULY SPIRITUALITY BOOK CLUB
The St. Angela Readings In Spirituality Book Club July selection is Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger. Through the eyes of a boy standing at the threshold of manhood, this highly acclaimed novel reveals the cost of wisdom and the enduring grace of God. HOSPITALITY DESK
Welcome All! We will now have an ongoing Hospitality/Welcome desk in the Narthex following all masses. This desk will serve as an information desk where parishioners and visitors have a place to go to ask questions about our parish, various events, and how to get involved in ministries. This desk will be used as a information resource as well as serve as a welcome to those new to our Parish! INVESTITURE OF THE BROWN SCAPULAR
The Legion of Mary is holding an Investiture of the Brown Scapular on Saturday, July 19 during the 9:00 am mass as an activity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel whose feast is celebrated on July 16. In this ceremony the faithful are presented with a scapular blessed by a priest. In wearing the scapular there is a promise (consecration) by the individual to pray and perform acts of charity and devotion. The Legion of Mary will bring some scapulars to give away or you can bring your own scapular to the investiture. We also recommend praying the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Novena that starts on July 7.
